Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Specialist to join our client’s team in the South East of Ireland. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing clinical support for orthopedic products, delivering product training, and ensuring optimal usage in clinical settings. You will be an integral part of the team, working closely with surgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support & Training:
Provide on-site clinical support to orthopedic surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring the correct and efficient use of orthopedic devices and products.
Deliver training sessions and product demonstrations to clinical teams to ensure proper understanding and effective usage of orthopedic products.
Offer expert advice on product features, benefits, and techniques to ensure best practices are followed in surgery and patient care.
Assist in complex surgical cases, providing in-theater support during orthopedic procedures.
Customer Relationships & Education:
Build strong, long-term relationships with orthopedic surgeons, hospital staff, and key decision-makers.
Act as the primary point of contact for clinical support, troubleshooting, and resolving any issues that may arise with the products or procedures.
Educate customers on new product launches, techniques, and best practices to drive adoption and improve outcomes.
Product Expertise & Feedback:
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in orthopedic surgery and medical devices.
Provide feedback from the field to the product development and marketing teams, contributing to product improvements and strategic decisions.
Offer insights into customer needs, challenges, and market trends to support business development and sales strategies.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, training sessions, and product performance.
Prepare and present regular reports on clinical activities, customer feedback, and market trends to internal teams.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in a clinical support, surgical support, or medical device role, preferably within orthopedics.
Strong understanding of orthopedic procedures, products, and devices (joint replacements, trauma, spinal products, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with surgeons, hospital teams, and healthcare professionals.
Ability to deliver product training and in-theater support in a clinical setting.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing customer needs.
A background in nursing, physiotherapy, biomedical engineering, or a related clinical field is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and travel as needed within the South East of Ireland.
Full driving license and willingness to travel to healthcare facilities within the region.
Fluency in English is essential.
