About the Role:
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated Orthopedic Sales Manager to join our client’s team in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of advanced orthopedic medical devices, focusing on orthopedic surgeons and healthcare institutions. You will play a crucial role in developing strategic sales initiatives, building customer relationships, and delivering top-quality solutions to medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
Lead the sales efforts for orthopedic medical devices, focusing on generating new business and expanding existing accounts within the orthopedic sector.
Identify key opportunities within hospitals, clinics, and private practice settings, building a solid pipeline of sales prospects.
Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and drive company growth in the Irish market.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with orthopedic surgeons, medical professionals, and decision-makers.
Provide expert advice on the company’s products, demonstrating their clinical benefits and improving customer understanding of their use in surgical procedures.
Deliver exceptional post-sale customer support, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
Product Knowledge & Education:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and product offerings in the orthopedic medical device sector.
Conduct in-service training sessions and product demonstrations for healthcare professionals, showcasing the features and benefits of the products.
Provide input and feedback on customer needs and market trends to support product development and marketing strategies.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Work closely with the marketing, product, and technical support teams to ensure seamless product delivery and support for customers.
Coordinate with other regional sales managers and senior leadership to ensure the overall success of the sales strategy and targets.
Market Intelligence:
Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify new business opportunities and potential threats.
Report regularly on sales progress, customer feedback, and market conditions.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience in sales within the medical device industry, preferably with a focus on orthopedic products or surgical equipment.
Strong understanding of the orthopedic field, including products used in joint replacements, trauma, and spinal surgeries.
A successful track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a competitive market.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with and influence key stakeholders.
Ability to conduct product demonstrations and deliver in-depth technical knowledge to medical professionals.
Strong negotiation skills and a customer-focused approach.
Self-motivated, with a strong drive for success and the ability to work independently.
A degree in life sciences, biomedical engineering, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
