Role Overview:
We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Technical Sales Specialist to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of their scientific and industrial equipment, providing expert product knowledge, and developing relationships with customers in various sectors. You will be instrumental in identifying business opportunities and ensuring the delivery of tailored solutions that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the scientific, industrial, and laboratory sectors.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

    • Meet or exceed sales targets by effectively managing the sales pipeline and negotiating deals.

  • Product Knowledge & Technical Support:

    • Provide expert technical advice on the features, functions, and applications of scientific, industrial, and laboratory equipment.

    • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospective customers.

    • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and recommend the best solutions based on their technical requirements.

  • Customer Engagement:

    • Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring that customer queries are addressed promptly and professionally.

    • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact through to post-sale support.

  • Collaboration & Reporting:

    • Work closely with the marketing, product, and technical teams to ensure effective communication and product delivery.

    • Provide feedback on customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to support continuous product improvement and marketing strategies.

    • Prepare and deliver regular sales reports, forecasting, and updates on performance metrics.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in technical sales, ideally within the scientific, industrial, or laboratory equipment sectors.

  • Strong technical knowledge of scientific or industrial equipment, with the ability to understand complex customer needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence key decision-makers.

  • Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A customer-centric approach with a focus on building lasting relationships.

  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet sales targets.

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline is highly desirable but not essential.
